My charging cable is stuck, what can I do?

Is your charging cable stuck in the station and won’t release? That’s frustrating, but it’s usually easy to fix. Here’s what you can try.

✓ Check if the session has ended

Cables are often automatically unlocked once the charging session is finished. Check the EasyPark app to see if your session is still active and end it if needed.

✓ Check your vehicle

Some cars automatically lock the cable during charging. Unlock your car and then try removing the cable again.

✓ Try again at the charging station

You can also try:

  • briefly plugging the cable back in and removing it again

  • pressing a button on the charging station (if available)

  • waiting a few seconds after ending the session

Contact the CPO

Still stuck? Contact the owner of the charging station, the charge point operator.
EasyPark cannot control or unlock the charging station remotely. The CPO’s contact details are usually listed on the charging station.
