- What is a charging point operator (CPO)?
A charging point operator, often shortened to CPO, is the company or organization that owns or manages a charging station. This party is responsible for maintaining the station, setting the pricing, and ensuring it works properly.
EasyPark partners with a wide range of CPOs to make their charging stations available through the app.
What does a CPO do?
The charging point operator is responsible for:
setting the charging rate (e.g. per kWh or per minute)
managing the technical operation of the station
deciding the station's accessibility (public or private)
providing support in case of malfunctions
Why is this important to know?
Because EasyPark is not the owner of the charging station, we:
have no influence over the pricing
cannot control how the station operates
do not have direct contact details for the CPO
If there is a technical issue with the station itself, it's best to contact the CPO directly. Their contact details are usually displayed on the charging station.
