Parking fine for an incorrect area code

I chose the area suggested in the app - why did I receive a fine?

The EasyPark app will give suggestions for nearby parking areas based on your device's GPS signal. However, because GPS accuracy can be affected by buildings, weather, or signal quality, the app's location interface is a guide, not a guarantee.

Is it my responsibility to verify the correct area?

Yes, as a user you are responsible for ensuring that you start your parking at the correct area. Before starting a session, you must manually verify that the area code shown in the app matches the code on the physical signage at your parking location.

You can double check the area code before you confim start parking.

Why was I fined when i started a parking on a different area?

Parking operators verify validity using two data points: your vehicle registration number and the area code.

If the area code you confirmed in the app does not match the physical zone where the vehicle is parked, the parking attendant will be unable to find a valid session and may issue a fine.

How do I check the area information?

Before you start your parking, always check the signs in the parking area for information about area code, payment methods and valid parking options.
