- Why didn't my camera session start?
If you suspect a session didn't trigger, first check Menu > Activity in the app. If it’s not there, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
1. Activation Lead Time
The "Camera Parking" feature must be activated in your vehicle settings at least 15 minutes before you enter the garage. This gives our systems enough time to sync your license plate with the local cameras.
2. Manual Confirmation Required
In certain specific locations, the camera recognizes you but requires a manual "Start" confirmation within the app to officially begin the session. Always open the app upon entry to see if a prompt appears.
3. Payment Issues
If there is an outstanding balance or an expired payment method on your account, the system may temporarily block new sessions. Ensure your payment details are up to date and any pending payments are settled.
4. Physical Obstructions
Sometimes the simplest explanation is the right one. The cameras may fail to read your plate if:
The license plate is dirty or obscured by mud or snow.
There are extreme weather conditions or poor lighting.
The vehicle was positioned in a way that blocked the camera's line of sight.
Pro Tip: If the camera fails to recognize you, you can still start the session manually by entering the Area Code found on the signs within the parking facility. This ensures you are covered and avoids any potential fines.
