Why didn't my Camera Parking start?

At EasyPark, we aim to make city life as seamless as possible. While our Camera Parking technology is designed to be "set and forget," there are rare occasions when a session might not start automatically.

If you are unsure whether your parking was recorded, you can quickly check your Parking History directly in the app.

Common reasons for a missed session

If your session didn't appear in the app, it usually comes down to one of the following factors:

  • Activation Lead Time: Ensure "Camera Parking" is enabled in your app at least 15 minutes before entering a parking area. This allows our systems to sync and recognize your vehicle instantly.

  • Manual Confirmation Required: In certain parking facilities, you may need to briefly open the app and confirm the start of the session after driving in.

  • Payment Updates: If there is an outstanding balance or an expired card on your account, the system may temporarily pause new sessions. A quick update to your payment method usually fixes this.

  • External Factors: Sometimes technology needs a little help. Common physical interferences include:

    • Dirty License Plates: Mud or snow can make plates unreadable.

    • Visibility Issues: Heavy rain, fog, or bright glare.

    • Technical Glitches: Local hardware issues at the specific parking site.

What happens if the app didn't register my stay?

If the EasyPark app was unable to initiate the session, the parking operator's backup system likely recorded your vehicle's entry and exit.

In these cases, you will typically receive an invoice (faktura) directly from the parking operator for the duration of your stay. Because these invoices are handled outside of the EasyPark platform, our standard app features and discounts may not apply to that specific session.

  • Stay updated: Periodically check that your app is running the latest version.

  • Notifications on: Enable push notifications so we can alert you the moment a session starts (or if there’s a payment hiccup).
