Is your Garage Parking session still active?

At EasyPark, we want your parking experience to be as "set and forget" as possible. However, in rare cases, a camera parking session might not end automatically when you exit a garage.

If you’ve already driven away but notice the timer is still ticking in your app, here is how to handle it quickly and confidently.


Why didn't the session stop?

There are a few common reasons why the system might have missed your exit:

  • Detection Issues: The exit camera couldn't clearly read your license plate (due to dirt, weather, or lighting).

  • Manual Gate Opening: If the barrier was opened manually by an attendant or via an intercom, the exit timestamp may not have been recorded by the camera.

  • Technical Glitch: A temporary sync issue between the garage hardware and the app.


What should you do?

  1. Check the App: Confirm if the session is definitely still running.

  2. Try Stopping Manually: In some locations, you can stop the session yourself directly in the app.

  3. Contact Support: If you cannot stop the session manually, please contact our Customer Support team immediately. We can manually end the session for you in our system to ensure you are only charged for the time you actually parked.


Helpful Tips for a Smooth Exit

  • Verify on Exit: It’s a great habit to quickly glance at your phone after you’ve left the garage to ensure the session has closed. This gives you peace of mind and prevents unexpected costs.
