How can I manage SMS reminders in the Self-Service Portal?

To help your team keep track of their parking, EasyPark Business offers three types of helpful SMS reminders:

  • Parking is about to end: Sent shortly before a session expires (e.g., 15 minutes prior).

  • Parking ended: A quick notification that the session has now closed.

  • Active parking session: A periodic reminder (e.g., every 30 minutes) to let the driver know a session is still running.

Note: SMS reminders incur a small cost. As an administrator, you can manage these settings to balance convenience and budget via the Self-Service portal.

How to manage reminders

Log in to the Self-Service portal and navigate to the Messages tab. You can manage these settings in two ways:

1. Set defaults for a group (Default tab)

Use this to apply the same rules to a whole team:

  1. Select a Payment Group from the dropdown menu.

  2. Toggle the reminders on or off and set your preferred time intervals.

  3. Click Reset all users to default to apply these settings to everyone in that group. New users will automatically inherit these settings.

2. Customize for individual users (Users tab)

If a specific employee needs different settings:

  1. Select the User from the dropdown menu.

  2. Customize their reminders and intervals.

  3. Changes apply immediately. Note: If you reset the group to "default" later, these personal preferences will be overridden.

Control user permissions

You can decide if your team members are allowed to change these settings themselves in their app:

  1. Select the Payment Group.

  2. Click Permissions in the upper right corner.

  3. Check or uncheck the box to allow or restrict user control, then click Save.
