Noticed that your parking session continued even after you left? We understand that’s unfortunate. Below we’ll explain what might have happened and what steps you can take.
Possible causes
✔ Unstable connection
You may have tried to stop the parking session, but due to a poor internet connection or limited signal, the request might not have gone through properly. Always check whether the stop was successful.

✔ No end time set, or incorrect end time
If you set an end time, the session will stop automatically at that moment. But if the wrong time was selected, or if it wasn’t confirmed correctly, your parking session may have continued unintentionally.

✔ Forgot to stop your parking session
If you forgot to manually stop the session, it will continue until the maximum allowed parking time in that zone is reached.
Tip: Set reminders or an end time in the app to avoid this.

✔ Parking session in a garage
If you parked in a garage, the session might not have stopped automatically when you exited.

How do I know if the stop was successful?
After stopping your session, you’ll see a summary with the end time and total amount charged. You can always find these details under ‘Activities’ in the EasyPark app as part of your parking history.
Can I get a refund?
If a parking session is not stopped on time, it continues automatically until the zone’s maximum parking time. The total cost is then calculated from the start of your session until the moment it officially ended.
We understand it’s usually not your intention to let a session run longer than needed. However, EasyPark collects parking fees on behalf of municipalities and parking operators. Since these charges are considered a form of parking tax, we are legally required to transfer the full amount. Unfortunately, this means we cannot change or refund parking sessions or the associated costs.
