I accidentally started a day ticket, what now?

Some parking zones are marked as day ticket zones. This means you'll be charged the full day rate regardless of how long you actually park. Unfortunately, it's not possible to pay per hour in these zones.

In some countries, such as Belgium, there are zones where you pay in advance for multiple days, specific dates, or an entire period. This is also known as a long-term ticket. It’s offered by the local parking operator and can be useful if you're planning to stay in the same location for a longer time.

What can you do before you start parking?

Check the rate information in the app
Before starting a parking session, you’ll see the applicable rules and rates for the selected zone. Check whether it’s a day-ticket zone.

Pay attention to the zone name
In many cases, the term ‘day ticket’ is included in the zone name, so you can easily spot it before starting your session.

Review the parking summary
Before activating your parking session, you’ll see a confirmation screen. Check the license plate, selected zone, and parking time.

What if you've already started a day ticket parking session?

Automatically ends
Your parking session will automatically end when the day ticket expires. There’s nothing you need to do.

Start a new session
If you want to continue parking after the day ticket has expired, or move to a different location, you can simply start a new session in another zone.

Accidentally started two day tickets?
If you have started a double day ticket by accident, feel free to contact us, so we can check it for you.

Early stopping is not possible
A day ticket session cannot be ended early or adjusted. Unfortunately, (partial) refunds are not possible.

Why is a refund not possible?

EasyPark cannot adjust the parking rates. We collect the parking fees on behalf of the local parking operator and are legally required to transfer the full amount. That’s why we’re unable to offer refunds, even in case of a mistake or an unintentionally started day ticket.
