- Why did my payment fail?
Sometimes a payment may not go through as expected. Below, we explain the most common reasons and what you can do next.
Possible reasons
✔ Insufficient funds in your account
There may not have been enough money in your account at the time of the payment attempt.
✔ Incorrect or expired payment details
Your registered payment method may be invalid or outdated.
✔ Payment declined by your bank or credit card provider
Sometimes banks block payments for security reasons, especially with credit cards or international transactions.
✔ Direct debit not confirmed
If you set up direct debit via iDEAL, the one-time €0.01 verification payment may not have been completed.
✔ Payment or card limit reached
For example, a daily limit on your credit card or bank account.
✔ Technical issue with your bank or payment provider
There may have been a temporary issue that caused the payment to fail.
