What should I do if my license plate is not recognized?

If your license plate is not recognized when entering or exiting a parking garage with camera parking (license plate recognition), this could be due to several reasons. Below are steps you can take to resolve the issue.

Possible causes and solutions

✔ Camera parking is not enabled

  • Check in the EasyPark app if camera parking is activated for your license plate.

  • Go to Menu > Camera Parking or Menu > Vehicles, select your license plate, and ensure the function is enabled.

✔ Your license plate is not correctly registered

  • Check in the EasyPark app if the correct license plate is registered.

  • If there is a typo in your license plate, update it via Menu > Vehicles.

✔ The parking garage does not support camera parking

  • Not all parking garages support license plate recognition.

  • Check in the EasyPark app whether the location supports camera parking.

✔ Dirt or damage on the license plate

  • A dirty or damaged license plate may interfere with recognition.

  • Ensure your license plate is clearly visible and clean it if necessary.

  • The camera in the parking garage may also be dirty or damaged, affecting recognition.

What if the barrier does not open?

  1. Stay calm and check your EasyPark app to see if the parking session has started.

  2. Press the intercom button at the barrier and ask for assistance from the garage operator.

Important:

  • If the garage operator manually opens the barrier upon entry, no parking session will be started in the app, and you may need to take a ticket.

  • If the barrier is manually opened upon exit, your parking session may remain active. In that case, contact our customer service so we can correctly end your session.
