- How does EV charging work with EasyPark?
With EasyPark, you can not only park your car but also charge your electric vehicle at thousands of charging stations across the Netherlands and other European countries. Use the app to easily locate available chargers, start a charging session and pay, all in one place.
What do you need?
✔ An EasyPark account (private)
✔ An electric vehicle
✔ The EasyPark app installed on your phone
Note: Charging via EasyPark is currently only available with a private account. If you have a business account, please contact your account manager for more information.
How it works:
Open the EasyPark app
The map will show nearby charging stations, marked with a charging icon.Choose a charging point
Tap the station to view details such as plug type, maximum power (kW), availability, and price per kWh.Connect your vehicle
Plug in your car using your own cable (usually for AC chargers) or the station’s built-in cable (usually for DC chargers).Start the session in the app
Select the correct socket in the app and tap ‘Start charging’. Your charging session begins immediately.Stop the session
When you're done, simply tap ‘Stop’ in the app or disconnect the cable (depending on the charger type).
Do I need to start a parking session when I’m charging my car?
Yes, in some locations you do. Paid parking may still apply, even while your vehicle is charging.
✔ Always check if paid parking is required at the location.
✔ If so, make sure to start both a charging session and a parking session in the EasyPark app.
✔ These are billed separately.
Good to know:
EasyPark does not own charging stations
We work in partnership with external charge point operators (CPOs) to offer access via our app. EasyPark does not own or maintain any chargers.Charging speed and availability
The power (kW) shown in the app reflects the maximum theoretical charging speed. Actual speed depends on your vehicle, current battery level, local grid capacity, and the charger type.Rates and service fees
Pricing is set by the charging operator. EasyPark adds a service fee on top. See our article: How much does charging with EasyPark cost?Charging abroad
You can also use EasyPark to charge your EV in many other European countries. See: Can I charge my car abroad with EasyPark?
