- What is Multifactor Authentication (MFA)?
At EasyPark, we use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to provide extra security for your account. This means you will always need two verification steps to log in, increasing your account's safety.
How does MFA work at EasyPark?
In the EasyPark app:
You log in with your mobile phone number. You will then receive an SMS with a verification code. No password is required to log in via the app.
In the self service portal (website):
You log in with your username (phone number). After that, you will receive a verification code via SMS, which you must enter to access your account. A password is no longer required.
Is MFA the same as two-factor authentication (2FA)?
Yes. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a form of Multi-Factor Authentication where you complete two steps: something you know (like your username) and something you receive and have (like a code sent to your phone).
Why does EasyPark use MFA?
MFA significantly improves the security of your account. Even if someone knows your phone number, they cannot access your account without the verification code.
