What should I do if I received a fine (FPS)?

How to contest an FPS (Parking Fine)

Before contesting your FPS, please compare the following information between your EasyPark parking receipt and your FPS (Forfait Post Stationnement). You can download your parking receipt by logging into your Client Area on the EasyPark website: https://www.easypark.com/fr-fr.

Verify the following details:

  1. License Plate: Make sure the license plate number on the FPS matches the one on your EasyPark receipt.

  2. Date and Time of Parking: Check that the date and time of parking on the FPS match those on your EasyPark receipt.

  3. Parking Location: Confirm that the parking location on the FPS is the same as the one on your EasyPark receipt.

If all this information matches:

If everything is correct and you had valid parking, you can contest your fine. To do so, send your EasyPark parking receipt to the service mentioned on your FPS.

How to contest the FPS:

To contest an FPS, you must submit a Recours Administratif Préalable Obligatoire (RAPO) within one month of the fine being issued. This appeal must be addressed to the authority that issued the payment notice. The contact details and appeal procedures are provided on the FPS payment notice.

Documents to include with the RAPO:

  • A copy of the contested payment notice

  • A copy of the vehicle registration certificate

  • A statement of the facts and supporting evidence for your appeal (e.g., the payment receipt, which you can find in "My Account").

Sending the RAPO:

The RAPO should be sent:

  • By registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, or

  • By electronic means, if the competent authority offers this option.

After the contestation:

  • If your appeal is accepted, a corrective payment notice will be sent to you.

  • If your appeal is rejected, you can appeal to the Commission for the Dispute of Paid Parking (CCSP).
