Sometimes, fraudsters impersonate EasyPark to steal sensitive information or money. While we cannot prevent these attempts, we can help you recognize and avoid them.
Common fraud types include:
Phishing – fraudulent emails pretending to be from EasyPark.
Smishing – fraudulent SMS messages trying to steal your personal information.
How to Recognize Fraud?
Fraud attempts come in different forms. Here are some warning signs:
1. Requests for Account Information
Fraudsters may try to steal your login details via email, SMS, or phone calls by pretending to be EasyPark. We will never ask for your password or banking details.
2. Requests for Money Transfers
All payments with EasyPark are automatically charged to your registered payment method or invoiced. We will never ask you to transfer money to a third-party account. If in doubt, check the sender’s email address or bank account number, or contact us directly.
3. Verify the Sender’s Email Address
Fraudulent emails often look like they come from EasyPark. We only send emails from addresses ending in @easypark.net. If you receive a suspicious email, always verify the sender before taking any action.
4. Be Cautious of Suspicious Links
Fraudulent messages may contain links that appear legitimate but actually lead to malicious websites. Never click on a link if you are unsure.
5. Check the Language and Style
Scammers sometimes make spelling mistakes, use outdated logos, or adopt a tone that doesn’t match EasyPark. Even if a message looks perfect, always stay alert.
