How do I manage SMS reminders in the self-service portal?

EasyPark Business offers three types of SMS reminders to help you manage parking sessions:

  • Parking is about to end – Sent before the session ends (e.g., 15 minutes prior).

  • Parking ended – Notifies you when a session has ended.

  • Active parking session – Sent periodically (e.g., every 30 minutes) to remind you of an ongoing parking session.

These SMS reminders incur a cost. To help manage usage and expenses, administrators have full control over these settings in the self-service portal.

How to manage SMS reminders:

  1. Log in to your company account on the self-service portal.

  2. Navigate to the "Messages" tab in the menu on the left.

  3. Choose to manage either default settings for a payment group or personal settings for individual users.

1. Set default settings for a payment group (Default tab):

  • Select a payment group from the dropdown menu.

  • Turn on/off types of SMS reminders and set desired time intervals.

  • Click "Reset all users to default" to apply these settings to all users in the group.

  • New users added to the group will automatically inherit these default settings.

Repeat these steps for each payment group as needed.

2. Set personal preferences (Users tab):

  • Select an individual user from the dropdown menu.

  • Customize their SMS reminders and intervals.

  • Changes apply immediately and affect only that specific user.

Note: Resetting the group to default settings later will override these personal preferences.

Check user permissions:

Administrators can restrict users from changing SMS settings in the app:

  • Select the payment group.

  • Click "Permissions" in the upper right corner.

  • Check or uncheck the box to allow or restrict user control over SMS settings.

  • Click "Save" to apply changes.

If permissions are disabled, users will see an error message in the app if they try to change SMS settings.
