What to do if you have received a parking fine?

There are several possible reasons why you may have received a parking fine. Before contacting the parking operator, please check the following:

Correct License Plate Number

  • Ensure that you have entered the correct vehicle registration number in the app.

  • You can verify this on the parking screen before starting the session or by checking your parking history.

Correct Parking Zone

  • Always check the zone code or location where you are parking.

  • Verify that the position of the car icon on the map is correct.

Parking Duration

  • Ensure that your parking session did not end earlier than planned.

  • If an extension was required, check whether you have successfully prolonged the session.

If you have reviewed all these points and believe the fine was issued in error, contact the relevant parking operator.

What to Do If You Have Received a Violation Notice?

1. Notice "Under the Wiper"

If you found a violation notice on your vehicle:

  • Check the details stated in the notice.

  • Ensure that you had paid for the correct license plate and parking zone.

  • If you believe there was an error, contact the entity that issued the notice.

In the Czech Republic, parking violations may be issued by the municipal police or the city/municipal office, depending on who manages the parking area. You can find this information directly on the notice.

2. Notice Under the Objective Responsibility of the Vehicle Owner

If you received a fine by mail, your vehicle was likely checked using an automated control system, such as scanning vehicles.

  • Check if you had an active parking session.

  • If you believe there was an error, contact the relevant administrative authority listed in the notice.

3. How to Provide Proof of Payment for Parking

When disputing a fine, attach proof of your parking payment, which can be found:

  • In the EasyPark app (Parking History section).

  • In your account on the EasyPark website.
