How to extend a parking session?

Follow these steps to extend an active parking session via the app:

Standard Extend Procedure

  1. Access Active Parking: Tap the countdown timer or the "Ongoing" parking section in the app. Verify all session details are correct.

  2. Initiate Change: Tap the "Change" button within the active parking view.

  3. Adjust Duration: Use the parking wheel by turning it to the right to set the new end time.

  4. Confirm: Tap "Update Parking Time" or "Confirm new end time" to finalize.


Constraints and Limitations

There may be specific conditions where extensions may be restricted:

  1. Active Sessions Only: Only sessions that are currently running can be extended.

  2. Maximum Time Limits: Extensions are subject to the parking zone’s maximum duration. If a user attempts to exceed this, the app will automatically cap the extension at the zone limit.

  3. Zone-Specific Rules: Some areas do not permit extensions. In these instances, the user must start a new parking session.

  4. Long-Term Tickets: These are listed under "Ongoing" but cannot be extended. To park longer in these areas, a new long-term session must be started after the current one expires. You can also schedule these to start automatically when the previous one ends.


Machine-Bought Tickets (Physical to App)

  1. There is no cross-platform extension for physical tickets.

  2. Rule: Tickets purchased at a physical machine on-site cannot be extended via the app.

  3. Solution: You must start a brand-new parking session within the app for the correct area code once the machine ticket is no longer sufficient.
