- An incorrect camera parking has started on my account
Why Is This Happening?
There are three main reasons you might see an unexpected session:
License Plate Misread: On rare occasions, a camera might misinterpret a character on another vehicle's plate as yours.
A "Drive-Through": If you drove through a camera-controlled area or turned around in a garage entrance without intending to park, the system may have started a session automatically.
Old Licence plate: If you’ve recently sold a car or changed your plate, you might see a session start for a vehicle you no longer own. This happens if the new owner enters a camera-controlled area and the plate is still linked to your EasyPark account.
Important Note: To protect everyone's privacy, EasyPark does not have access to live camera footage or photos from the parking facilities to verify these events manually.
How to Fix It
If you see a session active for a car you aren't currently parking, please follow these steps:
Don't Delete the Vehicle: The app won’t allow you to remove a vehicle while it has an active session. Attempting to do so might cause an error.
Contact Parking Operator
Provide Details: When you reach out, have your license plate number, time and the location shown in the app ready.
